More about our rich history
Camp Cooby is proud to be a part of Reflections’ rich history – with over 20 years providing outdoor education and a retreat venue to the Darling Downs region. The estate was originally owned by the Loveday family and held in the family for generations as a working farm. The original homestead on the house was called Abingdon Hill and was moved when Cooby Dam was created. The original barn is however still on the property and we have aptly named it ‘Loveday Barn’. The 50 acre estate was subsequently purchased by the Toowoomba Grammar School and used as an outdoor education centre for many years. The Toowoomba Grammar school named the property Abingdon. Today, we are taking steps to build Queensland’s best environmentally-friendly school camp campus helping young people to transform their now and be empowered for their future.
